What do you think of 'Boots' cosmetics? Boots brand cosmetics & skincare is available in the U.S. at our local Target store. It's brand new here. I understand it's popular in the UK. Is it one of the better brands? Looks like it's good. Does anyone have any comments on it? I bought an eyeliner pencil and it's just 'okay', nothing great. I'm hoping the rest of the products are better. I'm thinking about getting a few things. What has been your experience?

Toushka replied: "Some things are ok, but in terms of staying power.. not sure.. No7 which is by boots is the more luxurious version of "17" which is also made by Boots is ok, it does the job I guess.. personally I prefer Avon and Mac but its a lot of factors.. price and what kind of makeup you like, I like my basics to be good quality and I also like unusual colours for eyes etc I must admit No7 have a great waterproof eyemakeup remover (similar to the lancome one) and their moisture mask is great but thats all I like really Toushka"

Has anyone tried Boots Cosmetics? What is the quality of their products? The color range? (I'd like a line with more than three colors, thank you, hehe.) Is the lip gloss tacky? Does it have that plasticy smell I hate? (I hope it's better than Wet N' Wild...) Does it seem "cheap"? Does the eyeshadow crease? What is the overall quality? You can talk about any product of theirs that you'd like? Do you have any products you particularly like from them? What is the quality compared to other drugstore cosmetics? THANKS IN ADVANCE! mmhmm. i agree. i love lipglass, lol, but I love NARS products more. just looking for something a bit lower priced. XD

Britney S replied: "I've only used their lipgloss in No. 7. It's mediocre; the shade isn't the "perfect pink" and it doesn't hide imperfections like my go-to gloss (MAC lipglass in ample pink)."

Captain Love replied: "Hey, i regulary use their No7 stay perfect foundation and its really quite decent! i initualy used it because its hypo-allergenic, and any other foundations gave me a rash, but now i wont use anything eles! their other make up though isnt as good, the eye shadow is hard to get on and their lipgloss gloopy! hope this helps x"

Pixi and Boots cosmetics? Does anyone know if these companies test on animals? I've already looked at PETA's "Caring Consumer" lists and I can't find these companies on either the "do test" or "don't test" list..... That's not true that they will say on their website or products if they don't. A lot of them lie by a technicality- they contract with an outside agency to do their testing for them, then they put on their product "We do not test on animals" b/c they don't- they hired somebody else to do it for them. There are no laws regulating claims re: testing or not testing on animals. I know PETA investigates the companies pretty closely that they put on their list so I trust those companies. But I can't find these two on either list...

xo_liana@ymail.com replied: "If you've done a search on that website and can't find anything, it's likely that the company will not comment on whether they take part in animal testing or not. Companies that don't respond to inquiries, more often than not, test on animals."
